The SNOW Must Go On: A Holiday Original

In this heartwarming and hilarious musical show, the members of the North Canton Playhouse are determined to create the ultimate holiday performance. As they brainstorm the perfect blend of skits and songs, chaos and creativity abound, ensuring a joyful celebration that will leave everyone in the holiday spirit! You’ll enjoy songs like Let it Snow, I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, and many more! With a run time of approximately one hour, this is the perfect holiday outing for all ages!

December 13, 15, 21: Avery Lute will perform as Teen 5.

December 14, 20, 22: Emma Mead will perform as Teen 5.

December 13, 14 (2:30p), 21 (7:30p), 22: Evelyn Whitesmith will perform as Daughter 1 & the 8th Pain.

December 14 (7:30p), 15, 20, 21 (2:30p): Eva Robinson will perform as Daughter 1 & Wylan Evans will perform as the 8th Pain.

Ticket Prices

  • Adults: $18

  • Students 10 years old & up: $15

  • Kids 9 years old & under: $12

  • Children 2 & under are free if they sit on a lap!

Holiday Story Time

Gather around as cast members read holiday classics before the Saturday evening shows! Story times will start at 6:45pm and the cost is $5. You can purchase tickets online or come early to purchase tickets in the lobby.

Head to the theater 30 minutes early to enjoy FREE family activities:

  • Holiday Craft Station: Create a lasting holiday memory to take home!

  • Holiday Coloring Pages: Bring holiday scenes to life!

  • Santa’s Mailbox: Write letters to Santa and drop them in our North Pole Mailbox!

  • Carolers: Enjoy some of the cast singing Christmas carols!

  • Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus: Snap a picture with the jolly duo in front of a festive backdrop before the show!

    Hot cocoa, holiday cookies, & regular concessions will be available for purchase!

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Matt Polen holds a BA in Film Studies and an MA in Journalism. He was born and raised in North Canton and lives there with his wife and two kids. He's the son of Lisa and Ted Paynter and has written many workshop plays and fundraiser sketches over the years. He acted at the Playhouse as a child, and now his daughter Emmie acts in as many shows as she can! The Snow Must Go On is his first main stage writing credit.

Tickets for all of our productions are available here on our website and at the door. We highly encourage you to get your tickets ahead of time! If we are sold out online, there will not be any tickets available at the door.

The doors will open to our lobby one hour prior to the show. Doors to audience seating will be open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
